Paul A. Bellone — Claims Consultant

Paul began his career in 1961 as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company handling property and casualty claims.

In 1974 Paul joined the American Reinsurance Company as a supervisor of Treaty and Facultative claims.

In 1976 Paul accepted the position of Assistant Vice President of Claims with the Skandia America Reinsurance Corporation responsible for Automobile, General Liability, Medical Malpractice, Environmental, Commercial Property and Workers Compensation accounts.

Paul joined the Resolute Management Corporation in 1987 as Vice President of Claims for this multi-line reinsurer. In 1988 Paul became Senior Vice President of Claims for SCOR Reinsurance Company responsible for the day to day management of a fourteen person technical staff that managed over 15,000 property and casualty losses. Paul's main areas of concentration were data integrity, verification of loss reserves and coverage confirmation.

In 1998 Paul became Senior Vice President of Claims for Commercial Risk Reinsurance Company, a subsidiary of SCOR Paris. Commercial Risk specializes in reinsuring finite risks both retrospectively (loss portfolio transfers) and prospectively. His duties included extensive claims auditing and verification of loss exposures.

In 2003, Paul received his Arbitrator Certification from A.R.I.A.S (A.I.D.A. Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society) and has served on numerous industry arbitration panels.
